Again, very small group today but very interesting conversations.
Since we had a doctor in our group we could talk about various diseases and body organs. We learned a lot of maybe-not-that-useful-unless-you-are-sick vocabulary.

Here is what we covered today:
- due date
- a spine or a backbone
- an artery and a vein
- drip
- epidural
- a menopause
- a heart attack
- a heart failure
- an angina pectoris
- a stroke
- an intestine
- a thyroid and hypothyroid
- Graves' disease
- adrenal glands
- pituitary
- an ophthalmology
- a retinopathy
- a neurpathy
- a pulse

Good luck for those who didn`t show up today.
Try to figure it out :)

19:30 - 20.30 3 students
20:30 - 21:30 3 students

Similar situation with few weeks ago. I was really surprised with the number of students today. Again it made me wonder if people didn`t get confused with the previous week since I took a day off. But after thinking about it for a while we came up with a good conclusion - people are celebrating Halloween tonight! Wow! I was so happy that even though it`s a party time for most of students, some of you came to see me today. Thank you so much - lots of love!

Anyway, I had a great time talking about more personal stuff today since we were in a small group. We talked about more or less serious issues and we realized that there`s always a gay or racism related topic during my lessons. Hmm I wonder why :)

Some useful words that have appeared in today`s conversation:

hang
hold or carry (ex. a baby)
reckless
interfere
inner
shameless
warewolf

19:30 - 20.30 3 students
20:30 - 21:30 2 students

I don`t know what happened today but only three students came to my class and I could see that other teachers experienced the same. I wonder what`s going on. Is there a festival going on somewhere in Osaka? If yes, I wish I knew about it so I could have fun too.
Anyway we enjoyed chatting in a small group. We started with complaining about our jobs ans lives in general- yeah! ;) and funny stories from the workplace. And we ended up in even smaller group talking about plans for the future and studying languages. Times flies when you`re in Velco, doesn't it?

Here is some useful words we have learned today:
to drop
rational
translate
prefecture
an arch
made of
raise

19:30 - 20.30 7 students
20:30 - 21:30 7 students

Today I came to our school in a very bad physical condition seriously considering cancelling the second session but thanks to you guys and our conversations I could recover and stay with you for the both two hours. Today we had an unexpected trial student - Mr. S. who is very passionate about Canada but didn`t really want to admit that.
We had a lot of fun answering each other questions and talking about what would we do if we were given 1 million yen. I`m looking forward to seeing you next week.

We had a trial student today during our first session, so we welcomed him to our group and asked him to introduce himself. Mister Y was very talkative and active person with a very positive attitude. He brighten the atmosphere and help everyone relax. Thank you Mr. Y! We hope to see you again.

After the first lesson, which was just a question game, we talked about Japanese dialects and different ways of speaking. We also talked about food, alcohol and nicknames. Some of us gained a nickname tonight too!
I really enjoyed this lesson. I hope to see you all again soon.

Oh my Joanna ;)
